Such a fantastic film. William H. Macy is born to be Jerry Lundegaard and Frances McNormand deserved her Academy Award. The script is perfection, a funny and intelligent plot that remains fresh after every viewing. The Coens' best.

Very good script, no an excellent script. Having seen the movie I agree Frances McNormund more than deserved her award. I would like to see her in an other movie.

The Coens' are right there at the top. Their use of poignant, short dialogue shows their true genius. Focused, organized and damn funny . 'Yah, real good then'.

Justin (8 out of 10 )
It was flabbergasting to me when I found out that Fargo wasn't based on a true story. Still, it does embrace the realism and bizarreness of crimes in the Midwest. An alright screenplay.
